“Thank you” Jake said breathing out a sigh of relief when she said he could keep his arm and chuckled after “Aren’t you being nice today?” he teased “First I get to keep my arm and now your forgiveness, this must be my lucky day” he teased, he smiled back at her after Maria said she was good and stopped to wrap his arms around her in a hug leaning down to rest his forehead against the side of her neck “I….Hate you” he said smirking against her neck and squeezing her softly, he kissed a trail up her neck, jaw, cheek and then pressed this lips together smiling against hers.

“Don’t tempt me,” she replied playfully, smirking as she turned towards him when they stopped, wrapping her arms around him when he hugged her. Smiling, when he leaned his head against her neck, just enjoying their closeness, she laughed when he muttered his ‘I hate you’ and then started kissing her neck. “It… doesn’t seem like you hate me,” she mumbled, smiling, as he kissed her. “Mm,” she smiled, kissing him shortly when he met her lips, before pulling away slightly, “And I definitely don’t hate you.” Smiling, she let her eyes flutter to his lips before leaning in to deepen the kiss.

“Actually there’s not really talking in my dreams” he joked winking at her “…Just so we’re clear…do I get to keep my right arm?” Jake asked playfully “It’s a nice arm, so it’d be a shame” He flexed his arm and looked at it fondly before laughing. “I know, kidnapping me at my own house” he said as if it was something outrageous “Almost as ‘bad’ as me kidnapping you the other half of the time” he added and leaned down to kiss Maria’s cheek, he shrugged when she asked where were they going and looked around “I don’t know, I just… want to be with you” he shrugged again and looked at her with a smile “You look good with this background” he downplayed his confession “Do you want to go anywhere special Lopez?”

“Is that right?” Maria laughed a little, raising her eyebrows at him. She pretended to consider him keeping his arm, looking at it for a moment before wrapping her fingers around his biceps to make a judgement. “Mm I guess you can keep it,” she eventually said, laughing when he did, “It’s a nice arm after all.” Rolling her eyes at his dramatics, she continued laughing as he talked about how bad their kidnapping is. “I forgive you,” she smiled when he kissed her cheek, as if his ‘kidnapping’ needed forgiveness in the first place. Looking up at him at his comment about just wanting to be with her, she smiled warmly, her usual hint of mischief and teasing only barely visible. “I’m good,” she replied to whether she wanted to go anywhere special, just wanting to be with him too. Smiling rather cutely, she turned to look back at the scenery, the dark well and truly setting in and the stars brightly shining.

I think we should talk about how it makes you feel?” Jake teased laughing “But thanks, I like you a lot and I think you’re very special too” he said and leaned down to kiss Maria’s forehead, Jake smiled fondly at her and laughed when she nudged him “I’m not doing anything love” he said wrapping and arm around her shoulders “You did that one all by yourself” he teased “But don’t worry babe, you’re my pain” he said and mock sighed heavily as if it was really painfull to deal with her, but smiled at her “My favorite kind of pain” he joked winking at her “God I almost forgot what the outside world looked like, what with you kidnapping me all the time” Jake said nudging but keeping her steady with the arm around her shoulders “I’m almost expecting one of your cats to jump at me or something” he laughed.

Maria just rolled her eyes at Jake’s teasing about talking about her feelings, “In your dreams, babe.” Blushing as he continued to tease her, she wrapped an arm around his waist when he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. ”Oh shut up,” she laughed, rolling her eyes at his dramatic sigh, “Half the guys at school would give their right arm to have me inflicting my pain on them.” Smiling, almost smirking, when he said she was his favourite kind of pain, she leaned up to give him a quick kiss, before walking on. “I’m going to ignore that comment,” she laughed a little, nudging him back, “Because half the time we’re at your house.” Laughing as she didn’t deny the stealing him away part, she looked around before looking up at him, “So where are we going, Evans?”

“Wow, you sure know how to make a guy feel special” Jake said rolling his eyes playfully “Oh well thank you for trying” he said amused “I appreciate the effort” he leaned back when he felt her smiling and rolled his eyes again “You’re so smug” he said against her lips but forgot all about it as Maria pulled him closer by his shirt and deepened the kiss, when his lungs started protesting he broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers “You are a pain too” he whispered with a chuckle “Just so you know, a nice, very good looking pain” Jake added before pecking her lips and standing up “Come on snuggle bunny, let’s walk around” hebsaidboffering his hands to help her stand up.

“Oh no,” Maria sighed, “Please don’t turn into one of those ‘I need to talk about every single feeling I have’ people. You know how I feel, I like you. I like you a lot, and I think you’re very special.” she laughed a little, reaching up to give him a small peck on the lips to show she meant it, “You shouldn’t need me to tell you that, Jake.” Laughing as he repeated what she’d said to him, back to her, she took his hand and stood up. “I don’t mind that,” she replied, intertwining their fingers, “As long as I’m your pain, I don’t mind that at all.” Smiling, she blushed a little at how cheesy that sounded, laughing it off at the look on his face. “Leave me alone,” she nudged him softly, as they walked along.

“I’m sorry” he said smiling “I won’t ever tell you how beautiful you are” he joked kissing her cheek and biting her jaw softly, he smirked at her when Maria said he had learned way too much from her “I don’t know maybe a compliment or a promise of a reward” he said shrugging smirking when she said she’d do whatever he wanted, he met her halfway and kissed her letting go of one of her hands and interlacing their finger together with her other one “Somehow, I don’t believe you” he whispered “But I’m going to let you go anyway, cause I’d rather kiss you than torture you” he said with a smile and leaned down to kiss her again.

“I didn’t say that,” she smirked as he kissed her cheek, knowing she wasn’t far from getting her way when he did that. “Ugh, you’re such a pain,” Maria complained at his wish for a compliment or reward, “But you’re a nice pain, a very good looking, nice pain.” she rolled her eyes, smiling a little, “I tried,” Maria shrugged at her attempt at a compliment, smirking up at him. Smiling against his lips when he finally let her hands go, she deepened the kiss, grabbing his shirt to pull him closer to her. Just smirking at his words, she squeezed his hand, meeting his lips lustfully.

“You are gorgeous” Jake said back, it probably made the whole revenge game less intimidating but she was and having her there trying to hold back her laughter, pink cheeks, and twinkling eyes just made his chest swell with emotions, he actually laughed at her mean comment and her light glare, he knew she liked to be in control and winning so there was probably a side of her that wasn’t enjoying this, he leaned down to kiss her letting her control the kiss but still restraining her hands. “What’s wrong babe?” he asked smirking when Maria pulled away and bit her lip “Too much for you to handle?” he added chuckling “What? Come on honey bear” Jake said amused “Is like you want me to do it, I know you can do better than that” he teased.

“Pff I’m sure that’s what you’re doing, thanks for respecting my wish baby” he said and rolled his eyes at her but smiled after to let her know, he knew she was just teasing. “I could, but Idon’t want to” he said before their lips touched, Jake chuckled when Maria’s smirk disappeared as he mentioned tickling, when he saw her smirking again, he sneaked his hand under her shirt adding more pressure to tickle her a little “Now, now baby, you’re looking kinda smug” he teased “But I’m a nice guy, so maybe if you ask nicely I’d let you off the hook…maybe” he said raising his eyebrows and smirking smugly at her.

“Anytime gorgeous,” she went along with it, smirking up at him, a twinkle in her eye. “Mm same thing,” Maria decided at Jake’s ‘I could but I don’t want to’ comment, smiling against his lips before deepening the kiss. Pulling away slightly at his touch underneath her shirt, she bit her lip to hide her smile that probably would have turned into a small laugh. “You’re mean,” she breathed, despising the smirk on his face, trying to release her hands to no avail. “Please let me go,” she said in her sweetest voice, pouting up at him, before a small giggle escaped her as his hand brushed over a particularly ticklish spot.

Jake looked at Maria and then laughed a little “Yeah I guess, I have it in the bag” as Maria used his words against him he couldn’t help but chuckle, he looked at her with a disbelieving smile as she suggested he ate and shook his head at her “You’re so mean to me” he sighed heavily and finished his sandwich and wine and leaned down on the blanket placing his hands under his head, he closed his eyes enjoying the moment before he sighed heavily “So, so mean” he whispered holding back his smile, he waited for a moment before sitting up and making her lay down hovering over her, Jake smirked mischievously and placed her hands over her head holding them secure with one hand “I’m thinking about payback” he said amused as he ran his free hand up and down her side and wiggling his eyebrows up and down “I forgot love….are you ticklish?” he asked and leaned down to bite her lower lip smirk still in place.

“Aw poor baby,” Maria replied in a pitying voice, as she rolled her eyes at Jake calling her mean, holding in her laughter when he lied down with a rather large sigh. “I’m just respecting your no public displays of affection wish,” she shrugged, smirking, as he called her mean again. She was smirking even more when he made her lie down, hovering over her. “You just can’t resist, can you babe?” she teased, letting him take her hands. “Payback?” she asked, smirk still in place, “What did you have in mind?” When he mentioned tickling her, her smirk disappeared for a second, quickly reappearing at his smirk as he leaned down to her lips.

“Aw, I’m sorry baby, I’ll make it up to you” Jake said chuckling and shaking his head at Maria’s dramatic sigh “Oh and here I was believing it was you what was going to make me better than Brady, I mean you did say, that how could I not be better with you on my arm” he said smirking back, it was something he couldn’t hold back every time he saw her playful side, specially with that smirk and that look in her eyes “You’re also a tease” he sighed in mock disappointment drinking his wine too, he took Maria’s glass and set it both aside “So if you’re gonna help me be better than Brady and you said that playing it safe will hold me back” Jake began and leaned down to kiss her neck “What do you suggest I do then?” he asked against her skin.

“I’ll remember that,” Maria replied, raising her eyebrows slightly, a small smirk forming on her face. “Oh I did say that,” she smiled as if it were a fond memory that she was glad he was recalling. “Well in that case, I suppose you have got it in the bag,” she laughed. When Jake called her a tease, she smirked conceitedly, “I’m sorry, I thought we were in public.” Shrugging, she took back her wine, smirk still intact. She leant her head to the side to give him better access to her neck, running her fingers through his hair and down his back before whispering somewhat seductively, “I suggest…” she began, “…that you make sure you eat.” Pulling away suddenly, she pushed him off her, smirking as she turned back to the food herself. “Someone could come, after all,” she rolled her eyes.

“There’s nobody here now, but it could” he said sighing at her innocent expression, if it weren’t for the fact that he knew her and that mischievous shine on her eyes, he’d have believed her. Jake laughed against her lips as Maria made him turn around and kissed him, he cupped her face to deepen the kiss and then with one hair loosened the ponytail to let her hair fall free, he could have probably teased her back about it being too irresistible but kissing her was so much better than teasing her “See how you always get in between my food and I” he joked after breaking the kiss and catching his breath “You’re lucky, you’re so much better” he added pecking her lips.

“You’re no fun,” Maria sighed dramatically, “Honestly, how do you expect to become better than Brady if you always play on the safe side?” she mock complained, before smirking at the affect her words had on him, not even trying to hide her mischievous side. Maria smiled against Jake’s lips when he laughed, before deepening the kiss, her hand still clutching his shirt from when she pulled him to her. When he undid her hair, she let her hand fall softly down his chest, before he pulled away out of breath, Maria leaning her head against Jake’s as she caught her own. “Don’t act as if you don’t enjoy it babe,” she laughed a little at his comment about her getting in the way of his food, before smiling half amused and half lovingly as he confirmed it in his next comment. “I am lucky,” she agreed, smirking, leaning in to give him a lingering kiss, before turning away and taking a sip of her wine.
